Description:
We'll hike the Headwaters trail. and parts of the rail trail and bruce trail. Lunch indoors at the trail centre. Depending on the weather, Ice footwear may be helpful.

Elmira Maple Syrup Festival
Description:
Welcome spring with an easy hike ( max 10 km )in rural Woolwich Township and a visit to the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. We will also stop at the Kissing Bridge in West Montrose. The Elmira Maple Syrup Festival is the largest of its kind in North America. There will be plenty of time to experience the activities and enjoy tasty treats.

#1/3 Pan Am Path Challenge

Description:
The Pan Am Path is an 87 kilometre legacy trail that links diverse neighbourhoods across 13 wards in the Greater Toronto Area, from Claireville Dam in Brampton to Rouge Beach in Scarborough. We will walk the entire Path through three hikes, scheduled for April 6, April 20 and April 27. On April 6 after meet up, we will call taxi or Uber to shuttle to the starting point Wexford Park on Pharmarcy Ave(GPS 43.730626, -79.298754) to hike back. You are responsible for any parking fee if applies.The group will share the taxi or Uber cost for car shuttle.

TBTC - AGM - Photography Hike
Description:
Join us for a photography hike with professional photographer David Allen. As described on his website (http://www.highparkphotos.ca), David “has been a professional photographer for many years, both in the studio and on numerous locations across Canada." He will provide tips and advice on how to improve your pictures. Bring your DSLR camera, iPad or iPhone, or other devices.
After the hike, we will arrive at the Kortright Centre for lunch before the AGM starts.
Bus fare is discounted at $10.00 and, in addition, $10.00 will be collected from participants to help defray the cost of lunch.

Hike and TBTC AGM meeting

INTRODUCTORY HIKE
Description:
This hike is designed to give new hikers a sense of what hiking on the Bruce Trail has to offer. : This 9 km loop hike will take approximately 2.5 hours and is at a leisurely pace over moderate terrain. There is no dropout point. We will hike into Mono Cliffs Park along the Spillway Trail and back along the Cliff Top Trail to return to the Mono Community Centre parking lot around noon.
Meet at:
Mono Community Centre parking lot (Take Hwy 10 north to Dufferin Road 8 about 10 km north of Orangeville. Follow Road 8 to Mono Centre. The hike leader’s car will have a Canadian flag attached to the window behind the driver’s seat. We will leave all cars in this parking lot while we complete this loop hike.)

Battle of York history walk
Description:
Join me for my annual history walk from High Park to Fort York and Victoria Memorial Square Park. Along the way I will describe the Battle of York in 1813 and point out a few of the historical sites in High Park and along the waterfront. If you wish to visit the Fort please check the website for admission fees and visitor information: (https://www.fortyork.ca/).
After the hike, those who wish can join me at Toronto's oldest tavern for refreshments. Registration is not mandatory but it does speed up the sign in.
This is not a loop hike. We finish in the vicinity of Bathurst and King Streets. If you are driving to High Park, you can return to pick up your car via the Bathurst St streetcar and Bloor West Subway to High Park Station. It is an approximately 15 minute walk from the subway to Grenadier Restaurant on site parking. I recommend using TTC to and from the walk.

Description:
Hike on the Etobicoke Creek Trail from Burnhamthorpe Road to Centennial Park. Stop at the Centennial Park Conservatory to visit the Spring Flower Show Event - “Friends, Flowers, & Music”. Possible appearance by the Easter Bunny. Return to Burnhamthorpe Road by Elmcrest Park. Preregistration is optional but helps save time during the the sign in process.

Nature Discovery Walk 2
Description:
Join the TBTC biodiversity committee to discover early migrating birds along the Escarpment. This will be a quiet nature ramble listening and watching for birds migrating along the Niagara Escarpment. We will also look for emerging wildflowers and check out some vernal pools as we saunter along. We may visit two or three sections in the Limehouse or Speyside areas depending on time and what we find. We will do some citizen science by recording our findings in iNaturalist. After the walk we’ll visit a local pub.

Description:
Hike south on the Don Valley from the Ontario Science Centre to the Don Valley Brick Works stopping briefly at Todmorden Mills on the way. Take the Evergreen shuttle or TTC bus to the subway at the end of the hike. Preregistration is optional but helps save time during the sign in process.

Urban Walk through Willowdale
Description:
Walk through the Ravines, Parks and York Cemetery of Willowdale. Visit the historical remains of the farms that once doted the village of Willow Dale, once a village north of the town of York now Toronto.
