Geology Hike at Silver Creek
10:00am meeting place Silver Creek Outdoor Education Center parking lot. Map 13, km 36.2. This is on Fallingbrook Trail just north of 27 side road.
A number of years ago I attended a Geology Hike led by Beth Gilhespy, it was a really fun hike short and lots of information shared. Beth made geology simple for the group to actually see and understand. It had a lasting impression on me and what I saw as I walked the trail. I have even kept the hand out from this hike.
Beth is an avid hiker and adventurer, an author and the CEO of the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy. She is going to share her insight and knowledge with us about the geology of the Silver Creek valley. This is a 4 hour walk and talk. Please register for this hike, it is on the hike calendar. The hike will take place rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Bring snacks or light lunch.
