Toronto Bruce Trail Club Seeks Secretary Starting April 2024
The Toronto Bruce Trail Club is currently welcoming applications for the Board position of Secretary. In this role, one records and distributes minutes from our Annual General Meeting as well as our monthly Board of Directors’ meetings. This position commences in April of 2024 after our Annual General Meeting is held. The Secretary prepares and distributes the agenda for the monthly Board of Directors’ meetings and records and distributes the minutes of the Board Meetings for approval. This position also prepares a package for distribution to our membership prior to our Annual General Meeting which includes an agenda, Directors’ reports, prior year’s minutes, volunteer awards and any special resolutions. The Secretary is also responsible for taking minutes during the Annual General Meeting. Assistance with the maintenance of the Club’s Google drive and other Board Administrative tasks are also part of this role.
We are seeking a Secretary with strong people and communications skills. Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also essential. The role requires an individual who is both organized and detail oriented. Some knowledge and background of the Bruce Trail Conservancy and the Toronto Club is preferred. Prior board experience with a not-for-profit would be an asset.
