Terra Cotta Conservation Area contains an award-winning restored wetland, lush forest trails, fields, and ponds among the trails. There is even an overnight rest area for backpackers and parking available.
Terra Cotta provides three types of hiking within its boundaries:
- You can choose to park inside the Conservation Area and explore many of its nature trails.
- Continue to follow the main Bruce Trail which follows the northern boundary of the Conservation Area from the Tenth Line to Heritage Road. (Map 14) for 5.8 kms
- Hike on the Terra Cotta Side Trail. Starting from the western end of the Caledon Trailway, this is a 4.5 km route. You can also choose to link up to the main Bruce Trail and return to your start point by proceeding to Heritage Road and heading back on the Caledon Trailway for a loop of 10 km. (Map 14)
