Trail Angel Program is Launched!

The TBTC now offers a volunteer-run service for hikers who would like a shuttle between the start and end points of a hike within the Toronto section of the Bruce Trail. Typically, this involves a couple of hikers, or a small group who would otherwise bring two vehicles to the trail so that they can leave one at each end of the day’s hike.  With the assistance of a Trail Angel, the hikers can leave one of those vehicles at home, thereby reducing their carbon footprint.

Hikers may also wish to start their hike at a location where there is no parking available, so a Trail Angel would enable them to do this. While every effort is made to accommodate all requests, there is no guarantee that a volunteer will be available. Please send your request for a ride at least 1 to 2 weeks before your hike. A maximum of 4 hikers can be given a ride.

Toronto Trail Angels volunteer their time and gas with an expectation that their rider(s) will make a donation (for each shuttle they take) to the Toronto Bruce Trail Club. Donations help us to maintain our section of the Trail.
