Winter fun awaits in Magog, Quebec from Feb. 14-17

We’re returning to Magog! Join our February 14 to 17, 2025 coach trip. This will be the Toronto Bruce Trail Club’s second visit to Quebec’s Eastern Townships. We promise amazing cross-country skiing on trails expertly groomed for classic and skate skiing, and unforgettable winter hiking or snowshoeing with fantastic views, all in the beautiful Parc national du Mont-Orford.

On our first visit in 2023, skiers loved the network of trails dotted with trail side cabins. Ski from one end of the park to the other, then warm up with fresh coffee or espresso, refill your water bottle, and eat your lunch, all while enjoying an awesome view of Lac Stukely. Plus, most of the huts include proper flush toilets.

Some of our hikers climbed Mont-Chauve (unfortunately in a snowstorm). Hopefully we’ll have better weather in 2025 and those who are game will be able to enjoy the fantastic view from the top. Our four enthusiastic and experienced hike leaders (Leonora Rochwerger, Marie-Josée Roy, Kadhim Taki, and Tim Wainwright) will offer two guided hikes each day, both moderate and challenging.

We’ll be staying in the Auberge du Grand Lac in the heart of picturesque Magog. It’s just a short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and Magog’s 2.8 km ice skating trail along the shore of Lac Memphrémagog. We’ll have après ski and shoe drinks at the Microbrasserie Des Cantons adjacent to our hotel. For dinner pick from any of Magog’s great restaurants. Registration opens on October 27. We are looking forward to exploring this magical area with you.
