The TBTC wishes to express our appreciation for the twelve years of service Martina Furrer has provided the club as our Winter Coach Program Coordinator. To say that the past few years have been a challenging time would be an understatement. The unpredictability of snowfalls, the need to plan months ahead not knowing what the conditions will be like, and continuously promote the trips to ensure that the minimum numbers for the coaches is met before the cancellation without penalty date make this a challenging position. Martina has decided to move on and focus on her personal skiing objectives for the upcoming Winter season. I’m pleased to say that Martina intends to continue with being a TBTC Hike Leader and leading Bus Hikes and Coach Trips in the Spring and Fall seasons.

Please join us on a special Bus Hike to be scheduled in November to celebrate Martina’s years of organizing our Winter Coach Program.
As we don’t have a candidate to take over the role, the 2026 Winter Activity Program will be organized by a committee consisting of myself, Tim Wainwright, George Lennon, and Martha Schrader. The same team of awesome hike leaders will continue to lead the snowshoe hikes.
