The TBTC has board of director openings starting in April 2026. We are committed to protecting and caring for the Bruce Trail, while promoting a welcoming and inclusive community for all through group hikes, special events and programs.

Our Nomination Committee is composed of volunteer members and Toronto Club board directors who review and recommend applicants. Board members meet monthly by Zoom and have specific portfolio responsibilities.
There are two key vacancies and we invite you to apply:
Land Steward Director – Responsible for the administration and improvement of the Bruce Trail Conservancy properties in the Toronto section with support from our volunteer Land Stewards, the Toronto Club BioDiversity Committee and the BTC. The Land Steward Director is also an active member of our Land Management Committee. The ideal candidate has experience in Trail Work, Land Stewardship or as a Trail Captain.
Volunteer Management – The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for assisting our various teams with the search for new club volunteers, manage our volunteer pipeline, our annual volunteer awards and volunteer appreciation events. This is very much an ambassador role as you are a key touchpoint to direct enquiries to the Toronto Club. You will interact with both the Board, members of the Toronto Club, the BTC and other clubs through various committees including our AGM.
If you are interested in joining our board in another capacity, we also invite you to contact us.
For questions, or if you would like to submit an expression of interest note (containing why you would like to join and how you would contribute given your background) , please contact Martha Schrader, Chair Nominating Committee, by February 15, 2026 at volunteer@torontobrucetrailclub.org
The nomination committee will be screening through February with recommendations to the board prior to March 25th in preparation for our AGM held April 25th, 2026
